Sky Show “Cosmic Collisions”

By giving a spectacular immersive theatre experience, Sky Show “Cosmic Collisions” launches visitors on a thrilling trip through space and time to explore cosmic collisions that shaped our solar system, changed the course of life on Earth, and that continue to transform our Galaxy at present and in future.

Through scientific simulations and high resolution visual effects, audiences will witness the violent face of our Sun that produces enormous ejection of materials from our star towards our planet. The resulting subatomic clashes, as streams of charged particles from the Sun that strike the Earth's magnetic field, produce the eerie glow of the aurora borealis and the aurora australis. “Cosmic Collisions” will also show the creation of our Moon some five billion years ago when a wandering planetoid struck the Earth; the violent meeting of two stars at the edge of the galaxy; and the possible collision of our Milky Way galaxy with the Andromeda spiral galaxy, a cosmic crash that will produce a new giant elliptical galaxy billions of years from now.
